Me at a glance

I’m creative, enthusiastic, hard-working, detail-oriented, passionate, and I love a challenge! From an early age I’ve enjoyed creating and designing. As a small child, that manifested itself in hours and hours of Lego (a pastime I’m happy my daughter has also embraced). I first started dabbling in design in high school because I wanted to make a website for my band. That was it; I was hooked. I spent most of high school teaching myself Photoshop and (ahem) Macromedia Dreamweaver. I feel old..

With each new project comes the challenge to join form and function beautifully and effectively. I’ve heard from multiple clients that I have the ability to interpret their desires – even if they struggle to articulate exactly what they’re looking for in their brief – to deliver fully executed ideas that meet and exceed their expectations. I call myself a “persistent improver” in that I use a degree of perfectionism to constantly try to make the areas I touch better. And if I have an idea that requires learning something new – even better! I love learning new techniques and abilities.

I’m at my best when I get to collaborate with and mentor others in their creative journey. I’m not above taking a critical look at my work, and I think feedback combined with performance data is vital in creating the best possible designs. I pride myself in being the person that can be relied upon to “get it done”.
